Gas springs

MOUNTING CONDITIONS

  • The gas spring should not be subjected to transverse load.
  • If possible, the maximum load capacity of the gas spring should not be fully utilized.
  • If desired to re-paint the gas spring, the piston rod should be covered properly.
  • Do not use solvents upon purification.

INSTALLATION

  • Gas springs should be installed the piston rod facing downward.
  • The piston rod must be protected against voltage fluctuations, welding and grinding sparks, oxidizing chemicals and paints.
  • Never grap the rod with pliers or in a vice without using protective lead, aluminium or copper jaws.

OPERATING CONDITIONS

  • Operating temperature: -30ºC - +80ºC
  • Maximum number of cycles (full reciprocating motion) / min : 5 pcs

STORAGE BEFORE USE

  • Gas springs can be stored horizontally at ambient temperature for up to three months.
  • For long-term storage gas springs must be stored vertically with the rod pointing down.
